Three routes to joining the main class...
Option 1: Elements: 2 weeks of Virtuosity
Our elements course consists of 6 1-hour classes that focuses on preparing new members for our main CrossFit programme. The classes are small in size with no more than 6 athletes per class and a have a heavy focus on good quality movement and understanding the basic principles of CrossFit training.
This course will run over 2 weeks with 6 x hour-long sessions across the 2 weeks. These sessions will be run like a typical CrossFit class – warm up, skill(s) of the day and workout of the day (aka WOD). We will build your ability to perform the fundamental movements effectively and safely.
With a maximum of 4-6 people per class the emphasis will be on individual competence and confidence, to give you the skills to attend our main group classes. Each session will build on the previous one, so we ask that you attend all of them to make sure you are fully equipped to enter main group at CrossFit Bold. These classes will take place for 2 weeks on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday nights 8pm -9pm.
(If unable to attend a session for any reason you will be required to make up that session with one of our coaches at an extra cost or if space in following course is there we can squeeze in)

Technique > Consistency > Intensity
Each elements session highlights a common skill or lift performed in CrossFit. The movement is taught from the ground up ensuring quality mechanics are prioritised. For those athletes with a more extensive training history, this offers a chance to refine form and maximise efficiency.
Option 2: Fundamentals weekend
For those of you who would prefer a quicker route to the main class there is an option to complete one of our Fundamentals Weekend courses. These run for four hours on the Saturday and four hours on the Sunday. As with the Elements course the class number will be small; ensuring a good athlete to coach ratio. Over the two days you will learn the 9 fundamental CrossFit movements along with a range of the fringe movements that accompany them. This will involve both technique sessions and workouts across the two days. The main focus of each will be on quality of movement to prepare you for joining our main classes. It is a more intense route but as with all CrossFit training is scalable according to individual ability.

Regardless of which option you choose developing quality movement early on is vital to the progression and longevity of every CrossFit athlete.
Once consistency is achieved, we turn up the heat and start to perform the movements with greater intensity. If the movements are performed well the athlete will maximise the benefits from our programme and more importantly stay injury free.

OPTION 3: 1-2-1 FUNDAMENTALS
For people who are available to train during the daytime (8-5), which is off peak time at the gym, we have 1:1 or small group options to be taken through the fundamentals programme. Please enquire for more information.
